Kevin Shares His Personal Property Journey with Inspire Property Meet

At the beginning of July, Homemaker Properties Director Kevin McMullan shared his personal property journey with Inspire Property Meet (formerly Warwickshire Property Meet).

Accidental Landlord to Multi Million Pound Property Portfolio – Trials, Tribulations and Lessons

Kevin McMullan stumbled into Property Investment in 1997 when he became an accidental landlord. Since then he has built a multi-million pound property portfolio as well as a successful property services company – Homemaker Properties, which covers almost all areas of property investment in the Coventry and Warwickshire areas.

Over the course of the last 18 years, there have been many ups, downs and lessons learnt. Kevin believes in sharing his property journey to inspire others and help them to avoid making the same errors.

In reality, mistakes as you grow your business or portfolio are all learning points on a journey, and it is what you do with that knowledge then that really matters.

Kevin shared his experiences from buying property at retail price, being introduced to Below Market Value (BMV) properties and Sale and Rent Back’s (SARB’s), going full time into property just before the worldwide financial crash of 2007 / 8 and surviving and building a diverse property business in one of the country’s property hotspots.
