Coventry Additional Licensing Special at Local Property Networking Meeting

Following a consultation period last year, Coventry City Council have recently announced the approval of a citywide scheme to bring in Additional Licensing for HMO’s. The new regulations will affect many properties and Landlords within the City. It is something that all Landlord should be aware of to ensure their properties are compliant.

Homemaker Properties are spreading the word about the introduction of Additional Licensing. They aim to ensure Landlords are provided with the correct information.

Each month Homemaker Properties attend the Coventry and Warwick Property Investment Network (pin) event. They host a Lettings Clinic before the main event, which is an open opportunity for Landlord to ask questions and receive free advice in a relaxed environment. The times for this clinic is from 18:15 until 18:45. Before the main pin Meeting starts at 19:00.

Homemaker Properties also present a short Lettings Update towards the beginning of the meet. During this slot they cover anything from Local Rental Market Updates through to Legislation effecting the Private Rental Sector. Their focus is on the Coventry market.

The focus for the Lettings Clinic in February was the Additional Licensing HMO regulations. Homemaker Properties’ Anthony McMullan welcomed Coventry City Council Property Licensing Manager, Adrian Chowns, to the stage with him. It was a great opportunity for Landlord to ask their HMO licensing questions to those responsible for enforcing the regulations.

The Additional licensing theme continued in the Lettings update with Adrian Chowns presenting about HMO licensing and providing further information about the new Additional Licensing and the Coventry Landlord Accreditation Scheme.

Coventry & Warwickshire pin Meeting

Coventry and Warwickshire pin is on the second Tuesday of every month, except December and August. Sebastien Buhour is the host of the Property Meeting.
